BOTOX®  COSMETIC

More than just a wrinkle treatment!

BOTOX® Cosmetic is the most widely used  preventative and temporary  wrinkle treatment. It
is the first and only treatment FDA-approved to temporarily make moderate to severe frown lines, crow's feet and forehead lines look better in adults. It delivers predictable, subtle results, so you look like you, only with less noticeable facial lines. So you look like you, only with less noticeable facial lines.

It is also used to reduce pore size, sweating, and migraines; and aesthetic muscle slimming and lift.

It’s a quick 10-minute treatment with minimal downtime. You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours, with results lasting up to 4 months for moderate to severe frown lines.

HOW BOTOX® COSMETIC WORKS

THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE TREATMENT

A combination of factors can cause facial lines. It’s not just about the cellular changes that may occur, or reduction of collagen, or damage caused by free radicals from the sun and the environment.
Repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, or raising eyebrows cause skin to furrow and fold, gradually resulting in the formation of facial lines. BOTOX® Cosmetic works beneath the surface and temporarily reduces the underlying muscle activity that causes moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines in adults – to help them look visibly smoother.

MODERATE TO SEVERE FROWN LINES
When you frown or concentrate, the muscles between your brows contract, causing your skin to furrow and fold. Your specialist will inject these muscles to help make frown lines temporarily look better.

MODERATE TO SEVERE CROW’S FEET
When you squint or smile, the muscles around your eyes contract, causing crow’s feet. Your specialist will inject these muscles to help make crow’s feet temporarily look better.

MODERATE TO SEVERE FOREHEAD LINES
When you raise your eyebrows, the muscles on your forehead contract, causing skin to furrow and fold. Your specialist will inject these muscles to help make forehead lines temporarily look better.

BOTOX FOR NECK BANDS

Botox Neck Lift

Botox can be excellent for tight neck bands. The platysma goes from the clavicle to the chin and when tight it will pull forward as an annoying neck band. The platysma muscle plays a direct role in the appearance of the neck as people age. Its position and thickness can determine how and when different individuals will show signs of aging.
Over the course of time (and usually discovered in “selfies”), thick vertical platysmal bands often become visible, running in a V-shape from the top portion of the neck to the base. These often pave the way for that “turkey gobbler” look. Properly administered Botox injections can relax this area and soften prominent neck bands. Botox works well for hyperactive bands formed by an active platysma muscle but its not going to work for flaccid skin which usually happens from loss of collagen and elasticity.

BOTOX FOR HYPERHIDROSIS

Decrease underarm and palm sweating.

Botox works by blocking the nerves responsible for activating your sweat glands. Normally, your nervous system activates your sweat glands when your body temperature rises. This is how your body automatically cools itself. In people with hyperhidrosis, however, the nerves that signal the sweat glands are overactive.

When you receive Botox injections directly into the area of your body that commonly sweats, your overactive nerves are essentially paralyzed. When your nerves can’t signal your sweat glands, you don’t sweat. However, Botox only prevents sweating in the specific area where it’s injected.

MICROTOX

MicroTox (also known as MesoTox)
MicroTox is a technique in which multiple tiny doses of Botox is placed just below the surface of the skin via microneedling rather than into the belly of the muscles. This technique can produce a lifting and firming effect on the skin, and decreases pore size, fine lines, redness, and oil production. It can also be done on the neck to produce a lifted, more defined profile.

The treatment uses tiny needles, smaller than a human hair, to deliver the neuromodulator solution to the level of the sweat and oil glands just below the skin's surface.

The duration of results for Microbotox is usually about three to four months and depending on the size of the areas treated, the dose used varies between 20 to 80 units of Botox.

BOTOX FOR MIGRAINES

Reduce number of migraine days per month. Botox is injected around pain fibers that are involved in headaches. Botox enters the nerve endings around where it is injected and blocks the release of chemicals involved in pain transmission. This prevents activation of pain networks in the brain.
Botox prevents migraine headaches before they start, but takes time to work. Patients typically see increasing benefit with an increase in the number of treatment cycles. One treatment lasts for 10-12 weeks.
